''NB'' is a Scottish television programme about the arts and what's on guide in the entertainment world within the Central belt of Scotland. History NB debuted in 1989 and aired until it ended in 1997. Produced by Scottish Television, it was largely conceived by its producer Donny O'Rourke, and presented by a young, all-Scottish cast. Sally Jean Gray MBE (born June 1968) is a Scottish television presenter. Life and career Education and early career Gray earned a BA Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. After graduation Gray began to work behind the scenes at the BBC, and soon after, entered a BBC Journalism course. On this course Gray researched for programmes such as ''Question Time'', '' Public Eye'' and '' Newsroom South East''. Douglas Vipond (born 15 October 1966) is a Scottish broadcaster and drummer. Early life Vipond was brought up in Inchinnan and attended Park Mains High School in Erskine, choosing to go there because of the reputation of the music department. After school he enrolled at Glasgow's Royal Scottish Academy of Music to study orchestral percussion. Deacon Blue Vipond was one of the founding members of pop band Deacon Blue along with Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh. Their 1988 hit "Real Gone Kid" peaked at number 8 in the UK Singles Chart.
