Nærum Gymnasium
Nærum () is a suburban district in Rudersdal Municipality in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. Quartered by the Helsingør Motorway running north–south and Skodsborgvej running east–west, Nærum is bounded by Jægersborg Dyrehave, Jægersborg Hegn on the south and east, Geel's Forest on the west, open fields on the north and the Søllerød district on the northwest. 5,230 people live in the parish of Nærum, most of them in low-rise concrete blocks or single-family houses. History A village has been there at least since the Iron Age, but the name Nærum was first recorded in 1186 when Bishop Absalon gave all his holdings, including Nærum, to Roskilde. Frederiksdal House
Frederiksdal is a country house on the Furesø Lake north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate includes the earliest example of a ''maison de plaisance'' in Denmark, and covers 328 hectares of land of which circa 200 hectares are forest. The estate dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was an ecclesiastical property known as Hjortholm within the Ancient Diocese of Roskilde. After the reformation, it became a possession of the Danish crown and saw industrial use during the 17th century. Frederiksdal was acquired by the Schulin family in 1743 and has remained in the family since. It is currently owned by the eighth generation of the Schulin family. Jægersborg Station
Jægersborg is a suburban neighbourhood in Gentofte Municipality, some 12 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. History The whole area was from at least 1401 a royal estate known as Ibstrup (the earliest sources refer to it as Jepstorp). The nearest village was Mellerup located midway between Ibstrup and Ordrup. Its land came under Ibstrup when it disappeared in the middle of the 17th century. The Ibstrup estate was since Margaret of Denmark, Queen of Scotland, Queen Margaret's day used for royal hunts, although King Frederick II of Denmark, Frederick II was the first to establish a royal residence at the site. Lyngby
Kongens Lyngby (, Danish language, Danish for "the King's Heather Town"; short form Lyngby) is the seat and commercial centre of Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. Lyngby Hovedgade is a busy shopping street and the site of a branch of Magasin du Nord as well as Lyngby Storcenter. Nærum Railway Station
Nærum station is a railway station serving the suburb of Nærum north of Copenhagen in North Zealand, Denmark. Nærum station is the northern terminus of the Nærum railway line from Jægersborg to Nærum. The first Nærum station was opened in 1900 with the opening of the railway line between Kongens Lyngby and Vedbæk. The northern half of the railway line between Nærum and Vedbæk quickly proved unprofitable and was abandoned in 1923. The Nærum end of the line was shortened a bit in 1954 due to the construction of the Helsingør motorway, and Nærum station was moved to its current location. The train services are operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services from the station to Jægersborg station that connect to the Copenhagen S-train system at Jægersborg.
