Freestyle Swimming
Freestyle is a category of Swimming (sport), swimming competition, defined by the rules of World Aquatics, in which competitors are subject to only a few limited restrictions on their swimming stroke. Freestyle races are the most common of all swimming competitions, with distances beginning with and reaching , also known as the mile. 2017 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships
The 6th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, was held in Indianapolis, United States. The championships were for girls aged 14–17 and boys age 15–18. Over 600 athletes from 90 different countries competed at the Championships. Host selection Hosting rights were originally awarded to Budapest, Hungary, but they decided to withdraw since they were already hosting the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. Budapest is scheduled to host the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships. Host city Indianapolis has previously hosted U.S. Olympic Trials 4 times since 1982. Venue The event was held at the Indiana University Natatorium, which is best known for hosting the 1987 Pan American Games. The pool is on the campus of Purdue University. 2020 European Aquatics Championships
The 2020 European Aquatics Championships (also known as the 2021 European Aquatics Championships; 35th) were scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 11 to 24 May 2020. However, on 5 May it was announced that the event had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with 10 to 23 May 2021 set as replacement dates.
