Nándor Fazekas
Nándor Fazekas (born 16 October 1976), is a retired Hungarian handball player. He made his international debut on 13 May 1998 against Belgium. Since then he participated on six World Championships (1999, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2017) and five European Championships (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012). He was also member of the Hungarian teams which finished fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and the one that finished 4th at the 2012 Summer Olympics His sons Gergő and Máté are also professional handball players. Kecskemét ( ) is a city with county rights in central Hungary. The European Men's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national handball teams of Europe and takes place every two years since 1994, in the even-numbered year between the World Championship. The Hungarian Order of Merit () is the fourth highest Order (honour), State Order of Hungary. Founded in 1991, the order is a revival of an original order founded in 1946 and abolished in 1949. The EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. The EHF coefficient rank decides which teams have access and in which stage they enter. Eligibility and qualifying Each year, the EHF publishes a ranking list of its member federations. Magyar Kupa (men's Handball)
Magyar Kupa (English: Hungarian Cup) is the main domestic cup for Hungarian men's team handball clubs, which is organized and supervised by the Hungarian Handball Federation. The competition is held annually, starting in September and concluding in April. The teams play in a one-leg knockout system with a final four tournament in the end. The winner of the Hungarian cup get the right to participate in the next year's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, unless they secure a place in the EHF Champions League. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I (, commonly abbreviated NB I) is the premier men's professional handball league in Hungary, administered by the Hungarian Handball Federation. Since 2016 the official name of the championship is ''K&H Férfi Kézilabda Liga'' due to sponsorship reasons. Overview Running since 1951, the Hungarian championship is among the strongests in Europe. Máté Fazekas (born 14 September 2006) is a Hungarian handball player who plays for Győri ETO-UNI FKC. Career Club Máté started his career at Éles KISE. In the 2016/17 season, he played in the reserves of Veszprém KKFT Felsőörs. From 2017, he played again in Éles KISE. In 2022, he returned to Veszprémi KKFT, where he won the Nemzeti Bajnokság II championship with the Veszprémi KKFT U23 team and they were promoted to Nemzeti Bajnokság I/B. In October 2023, he made his debut in Nemzeti Bajnokság I and in the Fejér B.Á.L. Veszprém senior team: Fejér B.Á.L. Veszprém- Carbonex-Komló 25–29, Máté scored 7 goal. Gergő Fazekas
Gergő Fazekas (born 31 October 2003) is a Hungarian handball player who plays for Wisła Płock and the Hungary national team. Career Club In the 2018/19 season, Gergő played for the first time in the second division in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/B. He was not even 15 years old when he made his debut. In his first senior season, he scored 26 goals in 10 games. In 2020, when the league was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gergő was the second best scorer of his team leading the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/B with 77 goals in 15 matches.
