Nykøbing Falster Railway Station
Nykøbing Falster railway station ( or ''Nykøbing Falster Banegård'', often abbreviated ''Nykøbing F'') is a railway station serving the city of Nykøbing Falster on the island of Falster, Denmark. It is located in the centre of the town, on the eastern edge of the historic town centre, and immediately adjacent to the Nykøbing Falster bus terminal. The station is located on the South Line (Denmark), South Line which links Copenhagen with southern Zealand and the islands of Falster and Lolland. It is also the eastern terminus of the Lolland Line which links Nykøbing Falster with Maribo and Nakskov. The station opened together with the Falster Railway in 1872, and its second and current station building designed by the architect Ole Ejnar Bonding was inaugurated in 1963 as a part of the Fugleflugtslinjen transport corridor between Copenhagen and Hamburg. The Storstrøm Bridge (, ) is a road and railway arch bridge that crosses Storstrømmen between the islands of Falster and Masnedø in Denmark. Masnedø
Masnedø () is a Denmark, Danish island between Zealand (Denmark), Zealand and Falster. The island covers an area of 1.68 km2 and has 156 inhabitants. Transportation Masnedø can be reached by the Masnedsund Bridge from Zealand or the Storstrøm Bridge from Falster. The two bridges previously formed the major road and rail link between the two larger islands, but the road link has now been replaced in this role by the larger Farø Bridges, which cross the strait via the island of Farø. Masnedsund Bridge
The Masnedsund Bridge () is a bascule bridge that crosses Masnedsund between the islands Masnedø and Zealand () in Denmark. It carries road and railway traffic, as well as pedestrians and bicycles. Together with Storstrøm Bridge it connects Falster and Zealand and was the main road connection between the islands until the Farø Bridges were opened in 1985. It was officially opened on 6 August 1937, and replaced an older railway bridge that was opened on 15 January 1884, and a ferry. The new bridges were commissioned by the Danish state railways (Danske Statsbaner) and designed by them with assistance from Christiani & Nielsen A/S of Copenhagen.
