Nunawading Spectres is a NBL1 South club based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 South. NBL1 South is a semi-professional basketball league in Victoria (state), Victoria and Tasmania, Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2019, Basketball Victoria partnered with the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) to create NBL1. Tommy Greer
Tommy Greer (born 29 December 1983) is an Australian former professional basketball player who is currently the CEO of the South East Melbourne Phoenix of the National Basketball League (NBL). Greer played college basketball for Augusta State University and Nova Southeastern University and played his entire professional career for the Melbourne Tigers. Mitchell Creek (born 27 April 1992) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Shane McDonald (born 29 May 1985) is an Australian former professional basketball player. He had four stints in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Singapore Slingers, Perth Wildcats, Melbourne Tigers and New Zealand Breakers. Robyn Maher (born 6 October 1959) is an Australian former basketball player. A three-time Olympian, she was a member of the national women's team that won the bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Tom Maher (born 4 September 1952 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian basketball coach. Maher is the most successful coach in history of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), having won nine championships. He coached the Nunawading Spectres to six titles, before leading Perth, Canberra and Bulleen to one apiece. He was named WNBL Coach of the Year in 1987, 1992, 2010 and 2011. The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. Launceston Casino City is a defunct Australian professional basketball team that competed in the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL).
