Ahmad Muhammad Numan
Ahmad Muhammad Numan (; 26 April 1909 – 27 September 1996) was a Yemeni educator, propagandist and politician. He was one of the main progenitors of modern Yemeni nationalism. Numan was the founder of the Free Yemeni Movement and a propagandist in Cairo for the Yemeni unification, Yemeni Unionists, and served once as foreign minister and twice as Prime Minister of North Yemen, prime minister of the Yemen Arab Republic. An-Numan Ibn Muqarrin
An-Numan ibn Muqarrin (; died December 641) was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was the leader of the tribe of Banu Muzaynah. He converted to Islam after the Battle of Uhud, and was involved in the Ahzab War. He carried the banner of Muzainah during Fathu Mecca. During the caliphate of Abu Bakr (r. 632–634), An-Numan and his family played a major role in putting an end to the apostasy wars like in Dhu al-Qassah battle. Arthur Numan (born 14 December 1969) is a Dutch former professional footballer. He played as a left back and was a regular fixture in Netherlands national football team. Hendrik "Henk" Numan (13 June 1955 – 26 April 2018) was a judoka from the Netherlands, who won a bronze medal in half-heavyweight division (95 kg) at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. His only loss at that tournament was against the later champion Robert Van De Walle from Belgium. A year earlier, Numan won a bronze medal at the 1979 World Judo Championships. Yasin Said Numan (; born 21 March 1947) is the former General Secretary of the Yemeni Socialist Party from 2005 to 2015. He is the current ambassador of Yemen to the United Kingdom since 2015. Numan joined the Yemeni National Front, which later became the Yemeni Socialist Party, when he was 17. In 1986 he became the Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen from February 1986 until Yemeni unification in 1990, under Chairman Haidar Abu Bakr al-Attas, who preceded Numan as Prime Minister. Numan, also known as Nomweh (meaning 'hilltop'), is a town and a Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Nigeria. It is a port town that lies on the confluence of Benue River and Gongola River. The predominant ethnic group in the town are the Bwatiye (Bachama) people who have a reputation of being unconquered warriors in all their history. The Bwatiye people are led by a First Class King known as the Hama Bachama, who is the paramount ruler of the Bachama Kingdom, whose Voti (palace) is in Numan the administrative seat of the throne while Lamurde has another palace for the King as that is the spiritual or ancestral home of the Bwatiye people.
