Nouvelle Alliance Québec-Canada
The Nouvelle Alliance Québec-Canada (English: New Quebec-Canada Alliance) was a political party in Quebec. It was founded in 2009 as the "Parti de la réforme financière", and changed its name in 2010. Its main aim was for the provincial government to make more sensible choices in the way it spends the people's money. According to QuebecPolitique.com, the party also advocated "the recovery of the financial situation of Quebec by the repatriation of all taxing powers from Ottawa to Quebec." The chief electoral officer withdrew the party's authorization on December 9, 2011. The party later moved its website back to www.reformefinanciere.com. National Assembly Of Quebec
The National Assembly of Quebec (, ) is the Legislature, legislative body of the Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Quebec in Canada. Legislators are called MNAs (Members of the National Assembly; ). The lieutenant governor of Quebec (representing the King of Canada) and the National Assembly compose the Parliament of Québec, which operates in a fashion similar to those of other Westminster system, Westminster-style parliamentary systems. The assembly has 125 members elected via first past the post from single-member districts. Quebec
Quebec is Canada's List of Canadian provinces and territories by area, largest province by area. By-election
A by-election, also known as a special election in the United States and the Philippines, or a bypoll in India, is an election used to fill an office that has become vacant between general elections. Rivière-du-Loup (electoral District)
Rivière-du-Loup () is a former provincial electoral district in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, Canada, which elected members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It was created for the 1931 election from a portion of the electoral district of Témiscouata. It disappeared in the 1939 election and its successor electoral district was Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup; however, it was re-created for the 1944 election. Its final general election was in 2008; there was a by-election in 2009. It disappeared in the 2012 election and the successor electoral district was Rivière-du-Loup–Témiscouata.
