Nossa Senhora da Luz (Portuguese for ''Our Lady of Light'') is a '' freguesia'' (civil parish) of Cape Verde. It covers the eastern part of the municipality of São Domingos, on the island of Santiago. In Portuguese language usage, there are two words to distinguish the territory and the administrative organ. Therefore, the ''concelhos'' are the first-level administrative subdivision in Cape Verde. Vale da Custa is a village in the southeastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is situated 2 km northwest of São Francisco Bay, 6 km southeast of Ribeirão Chiqueiro and northeast of the capital Praia.
