Norway–Spain Relations
Norway–Spain relations are the bilateral and diplomatic relations between these two countries. Norway has an embassy in Madrid, and honorary consulates in Algeciras, Barcelona, Benidorm, Bilbao, Gijón, Gerona, La Coruña, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Torrevieja, and Valencia. Spain has an embassy in Oslo, also accredited for Iceland. Relations between Spain and Norway are mainly defined by their membership in NATO and the Schengen Area. Spain is an important partner for Norway in Europe and maintains close cooperation in the political, commercial and cultural fields. Both countries have common interests, both in Europe and globally. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of 1,064,235 in 2022, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age, the area was part of Viken. Svalbard ( , ), previously known as Spitsbergen or Spitzbergen, is a Norway, Norwegian archipelago that lies at the convergence of the Arctic Ocean with the Atlantic Ocean. L'Alfàs Del Pi
L'Alfàs del Pi (; ) is a Valencian town and municipality located in the ''comarca'' of Marina Baixa, in the province of Alicante, Spain, lying at the foot of Serra Gelada. L'Alfàs del Pi has an area of 19.3 km2 and, according to the 2011 census, a total population of 19,802 inhabitants; the latest official estimate (as at 2019) is 20,482. Mazarrón
Mazarrón is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in the Region of Murcia, autonomous community and province of Murcia, southeastern Spain. The municipality has an area of , and a population of 31,562 inhabitants in 2019. Arguineguín
Arguineguín (Guanche for "quiet water") is one of the most populated towns along the south coast of Gran Canaria, Spain. A once typical Canarian fishing village, it is now home to both locals and tourists, as the settlement has continued to grow. In 2015 it had 2517 inhabitants. It is part of the municipality of Mogán and is located southwest of Las Palmas. There are several bars and restaurants, the latter specialising in fresh fish caught the same day. Tuesday is market day (the largest on the island). Arguineguín features a beach and a port. Tourism is not as popular in Arguineguín as in the larger places as Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles. Christina Of Norway, Infanta Of Castile
Christina of Norway (; 1234 – 1262) was the daughter of Håkon IV and his wife, Margaret Skulesdatter. She was born in Bergen. As part of an alliance she was betrothed to Philip, brother of Alfonso X of Castile. They married in 1258, and she lived in Castile until her death four years later. Tradition states that Christina desired that a church dedicated to St Olaf should be built in Castile. 750 years later, "a modernized version of simple pre-Roman church" was built and dedicated in Covarrubias, Spain.
