Northern Taste (March 15, 1971 – December 11, 2004) was a Canada, Canadian-bred Thoroughbred horse racing, racehorse who raced in France before being exported to Japan and becoming one of the most successful and influential Leading sire in Japan, leading sires in Japanese racing history. Background Bred by E. P. Taylor at his Windfields Farm in Oshawa, Ontario, Northern Taste was out of the mare Lady Victoria, a daughter of Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame, Canadian Hall of Fame inductee, Victoria Park (horse), Victoria Park. Northern Dancer
Northern Dancer (May 27, 1961 – November 16, 1990) was a Thoroughbred that, in 1964, became the first Canadian-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby. After being retired from racing, he became one of the most successful Stallion, sires of the 20th century. He is considered a Canadian icon and was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1965. Induction into the Racing Hall of Fame in both Canada and the United States followed in 1976. The Living Museum of the Horse () is a museum in Chantilly, France dedicated to equine art and culture. It is housed in the Great Stables (''Grandes Écuries'') of the Château de Chantilly, about 40 km (25 mi) north of Paris. Shiraoi, Hokkaido
is a List of towns in Japan, town located in Iburi Subprefecture, Iburi, Hokkaido, Japan. As of September 2016, the town had a population of 17,759. It was established in 1867 by the feudal lords of Sendai Domain, Sendai. Most of the area of the town is forested and parts lie within the Shikotsu-Tōya National Park. The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame was founded in 1950 in Saratoga Springs, New York, to honor the achievements of American thoroughbred horse racing, Thoroughbred race horses, jockeys, and Horse trainer, trainers.
