North Logan, Utah
North Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 10,986 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is mainly composed of residential sub-divisions and is a suburb of the county seat, Logan. The city has an annual event every year in October called the Pumpkin Walk. North Logan was first settled in 1890. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.9 square miles (17.9 km), of which 6.9 square miles (17.9 km) is land and 0.14% is water. On the west, North Logan has views of the Wellsville Mountains. To the east of North Logan is the Mt. Naomi Wilderness. Government The Mayor of North Logan is Lyndsay Peterson. Pumpkin Walk
The Pumpkin Walk is a free, public event held annually in October in North Logan, Utah. The Pumpkin Walk features displays created from hundreds of pumpkins by North Logan residents, and the shared theme of these displays changes from year to year. The first Pumpkin Walk took place in North Logan resident Ida Beutler's backyard in 1983, and was already drawing 20,000 visitors by 1987. By 2013, that number had grown to more than 60,000. History Retired teacher Ida Beutler hosted the first version of the Pumpkin Walk on her farm during the Halloween of 1983. This first version was quite simple, just using a few pumpkins to create cheerful Halloween figures. A few young boys from the neighborhood vandalized the display, but Beutler offered them treats instead of getting angry about the destruction, and she arranged for them to help her with another display the following year. Randolph is a town in Rich County, Utah, United States and as of the 2020 census, the town population was 467. It is the county seat of Rich County. Randolph had the highest percentage of people of any city in the country vote for George W. Garden City is a town in northwestern Rich County, Utah, United States. The population was 602 at the 2020 census. Garden City sits on the shores of Bear Lake and is a popular summer resort destination town, thus nicknamed the "Caribbean of the Rockies”. Hyde Park, Utah
Hyde Park is a city in north-central Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 5,234 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The first settlers were Latter-day Saints who moved from Lehi in 1860. Hyde Park was officially organized by Ezra T. Benson on July 1, 1860. The settlement was named in honor of William Hyde, one of the first settlers to arrive in the area on April 23, 1860.
