The Norrbottens Fotbollförbund ''(Norrbotten Football Association)'' is one of the 24 district organisations of the Swedish Football Association. It administers lower tier football in Norrbotten County. Background Norrbottens Fotbollförbund, commonly referred to as Norrbottens FF, is the governing body for football in the historical province of Norrbotten and the extended area that now constitutes Norrbotten County. The Association currently has 104 member clubs. Based in Luleå, the Association's Chairman is Robert Lindström. It was established on 29 April 1917. Storfors AIK is a Swedish football club located in Piteå. Background Since their foundation in 1931 Storfors AIK has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club's best season was in 1966 when they won Division 3 Norra Norrland Övre which was then the third tier of Swedish football. Sävast AIF
Sävast AIF is a Swedish football club located in Sävast which is a neighbourhood of Boden, Norrbotten County. Background Sävast AIF was formed in 1977 with five sections covering Skiing, Tennis, Basketball, Football and Orienteering. In 1996 the separate sports split away from the club, partly because it was difficult to form a main board. Everyone wanted to work with their own sport leaving football to maintain the identity of Sävast AIF. Sävast AIF has at most run 17 teams catering for approximately 400 young people. Today Sävast AIF caters for approximately 230 young people in training with girls and boys teams in addition to the senior team.
