Norman K. Moon
Norman Kenneth Moon (born November 4, 1936) is an American lawyer who has served as a senior United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Education and career Moon was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in 1959 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1962. He was in private practice in Lynchburg from 1962 to 1974. He was a judge on the Twenty-fourth Judicial Circuit of Virginia from 1974 to 1985, serving as Chief Judge from 1983 to 1984. He was a judge on the Court of Appeals of Virginia from 1985 to 1997, serving as Chief Judge from 1993 to 1997. He received a Master of Laws from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988.
