Nordic Light Open
The Nordic Light Open (sponsored by Nordea) was a women's tennis tournament held in Stockholm, Sweden (in 2002 and 2003 the tournament was played in Espoo, Finland on clay courts). Held from 2002 to 2008, this WTA Tour event was a Tier IV-tournament and was played on outdoor hardcourts. As from 2009, the Nordic Light Open was replaced by the women's Swedish Open, at Båstad. Katarina Srebotnik (born 12 March 1981) is a Slovenian former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 20, on 7 August 2006. On 4 July 2011, she became the No. 1 of the WTA doubles rankings, holding this ranking for ten weeks. Srebotnik won four singles titles on the WTA Tour and was ranked inside the top 30 for several years. However, her best results have been in doubles draws, where she won 39 career titles, including a Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships alongside Květa Peschke. María José Martínez Sánchez (; born 12 August 1982) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. In singles, she won five WTA Tour titles, her biggest being a Premier 5 title at the 2010 Italian Open where she defeated two former world No. 1 players, Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Janković, en route to the title. Eva Bes Ostáriz (born 14 January 1973) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Over her career, she won a total of 35 titles (29 in doubles) on the ITF Circuit.
