Norbert Rivasz-Tóth
Norbert Rivasz-Tóth (born 6 May 1996) is a Hungarian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. His personal best of 83.08 metre, m, set in 2017, was the List of Hungarian records in athletics, Hungarian record until 2023. He has represented his nation at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics, 2017 World Championships. Törökszentmiklós
Törökszentmiklós is a town in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county, in the Northern Great Plain region of central Hungary. It is the third-largest settlement in the county. Geography It covers an area of and has a population of 23,145 (2002). History The settlement was first mentioned (as ''Zenthmyclos'') in charters of Sigismund, King Zsigmond in 1399. In 1552 the castle of Balaszentmiklós fell under the Turkish siege. ("Törok" is Hungarian for "Turkish".) In 1685 it was destroyed. In 1738 the settlement, then known as Török Szent Miklós, became a market town. The 2016 European Athletics Championships was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, between 6 and 10 July 2016. It was the first time the Netherlands hosted the event. Due to 2016 being an Olympic year, there was no racewalking and the marathon competition was replaced by half marathon. The Russian team did not participate due to the suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation by the International Association of Athletics Federations. However, Yuliya Stepanova was individually cleared by the IAAF to compete as an independent athlete; she participated in the European championships under the flag of the European Athletic Association.
