Nomar Garciaparra
Anthony Nomar Garciaparra (; born July 23, 1973) is an American former Major League Baseball player and current SportsNet LA analyst. After playing parts of nine seasons as an All-Star shortstop for the Boston Red Sox, he played shortstop, Third baseman, third base and First baseman, first base for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Oakland Athletics. The Silver Slugger Award has been awarded annually since 1980 to the best Batting (baseball), offensive player at each Baseball positions, position in both the American League (AL) and the National League (baseball), National League (NL), as determined by the coaches and managers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
