Noemí Jiménez
Noemí Jiménez Martín (born 12 November 1993) is a professional golfer from Spain and member of the Ladies European Tour (LET). Early life and amateur career Jiménez was born in Marbella in 1993 to Antonio Jiménez and Mercedes Martín. She had a successful amateur career and won the 2010 French International Ladies Amateur Championship. She was a semi-finalist at the British Ladies Amateur in 2013, and she lost a playoff at the 2014 European Ladies Amateur Championship to compatriot Luna Sobrón. Jiménez was a member of the Spanish National Team that won the 2013 European Ladies' Team Championship, alongside Camilla Hedberg, Luna Sobron, Natalia Escuriola, Marta Sanz Barrio and Patricia Sanz Barrio. Vagliano Trophy
The Vagliano Trophy is a biennial women's amateur golf tournament. It is co-organised by The R&A and the European Golf Association and is contested by teams representing "Great Britain and Ireland" and the "Continent of Europe". It is played in odd-numbered years; the Curtis Cup being played in even-numbered years. The event started in 1931 as a match between Great Britain and France. It was played annually from 1931 to 1939 and from 1947 to 1949, before becoming a biennial event from 1949 to 1957. Britain won 15 of the 16 matches with the 1934 match being tied. From 1949 to 1957 Great Britain had also played a biennial match against Belgium. In 1959 the two matches were replaced by one with Britain playing a team representing the Continent of Europe, the Vagliano Trophy being used for the new event. Women's British Open
The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament. Since becoming an LPGA major in 2001 it has generally been played in late July or early August. The Lalla Meryem Cup is a women's professional golf tournament in Morocco under the high patronage of His Majesty Mohammed VI of Morocco, King Mohammed VI. It was held in Rabat until it moved to Agadir in 2011. It moved back to Rabat in 2016. The tournament has been played annually since 1993 and is held alongside the Hassan II Golf Trophy. The Jabra Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament, introduced on the Ladies European Tour schedule in 2018. The Flumserberg Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament in the LET Access Series, held since 2014 at Gams-Werdenberg Golf Club in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Originally the tournament was named after its main sponsor, the Association Suisse des Golfeurs Indépendants (ASGI). After three seasons as the successor sponsor, VP Bank stepped up to sponsor the Ladies European Tour event VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, and the tournament was renamed after Flumserberg, the nearby Swiss Alps resort area. WPGA International Challenge
The WPGA International Challenge was a women's professional golf tournament on the LET Access Series, held between 2013 and 2019 in Suffolk, England. The event succeed the Challenge Tour's English Challenge, held at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa in Stoke-by-Nayland 2010–2012. The 54-hole tournament, which was the only event on the LETAS schedule to be played in the United Kingdom during its run, featured an international field of 120 players. The LET Access Series (LETAS) is a professional golf tour for women and the official development tour to the Ladies European Tour. Launched in 2010, the LET Access Series provides players with an opportunity to compete and progress on to the Ladies European Tour, LET. Eligible for membership are all female professional golfers and amateurs over 18 with a handicap of 2 or better.
