No Me Acuerdo Quien Fuí
''No Me Acuerdo Quien Fuí'' (English: "I Don't Remember Who I Was") is the debut studio album by Peruvian singer-songwriter Christian Meier released in 1996 by his own record company Roma Records. The album's lead single ''Carreteras Mojadas'' was released in February 1996 and became a huge hit in Perú to the point that 25 years later, it's still as relevant as it was when it was released. Commercial performance The album had great success in Perú being certified double platinum. The singles from the album all had airplay success in Perú reaching the top spot on several radio stations. The most successful single from the album was "Carreteras Mojadas", which topped the airplay charts for 5 weeks in Perú and became the most played song of 1996 in the country. In 2021 Meier uploaded the music videos of the album's singles to his official YouTube channel to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album's release. Christian Dietrich Meier Zender (born 23 June 1970) is a Peruvian actor and singer in Latin America, the U.S. Hispanic market, and around the Spanish-speaking world. Biography Meier was born in Lima, Peru, the youngest of four siblings. He is the son of Gladys Zender, Miss Universe 1957, and Antonio Meier, a Peruvian politician who in 2006 was elected mayor of the Lima district of San Isidro. He has two older sisters and one older brother: Sibylle Meier Zender, Karina Meier Zender, and Antonio Meier Zender. Raised in the Roman Catholic faith, Christian Meier studied at the Miraflores Maristas School, a Marist Brothers congregation school. After finishing high school he studied Graphic Design graduating in early 1992. Pedro Suárez-Vértiz Alva (13 February 1969 – 28 December 2023) was a Peruvian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He founded the popular rock band Arena Hash with his brother Patricio, Arturo Pomar, and Christian Meier in 1987. A few years later, the band disbanded, and Suárez-Vértiz began his solo career. Suárez-Vértiz was the winner of Orgullosamente Latino 2004 (Proudly Latin 2004) and was also awarded Best Latin Soloist of the Year in Mexico that same year. Suárez-Vértiz was well known for his multitudinous concerts, his vocal rhythm, his extensive guitar collection, his abstinence from alcohol and tobacco, his philanthropy, and his personality.
