Ningbo University Zone Library
The Ningbo Library and Information Center is a library in the Yinzhou District, Ningbo, Yinzhou District, located in the Ningbo University Zone (South). It is a shared library, serving several universities in Ningbo. History Construction of the Ningbo Library and Information Center began in early 2002. After a state-wide search in April 2002, the Department of Education of Ningbo appointed Yan Wulin the first chief. Construction was completed in September 2003, with the grand opening on 28 December 2003. It cost 120 million Yuan to build the center. In 2004, the library won the Lu Ban Prize (the best state engineering). On 1 June 2004, the library of Yinzhou District merged with the Ningbo Library. On 7 August 2005, the number of visitors reached 10,053. Since 1 July 2011, people are able to borrow books without bond.  As of 2015, the library contains 30,000 books, which are all made in China. Yinzhou District, Ningbo
Yinzhou () is a district of the major city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. History In 220 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, established three counties called Yin (), Mao () and Gouzhang (). Later they were merged into Gouzhang county during the Sui dynasty. It was renamed Mao county during the Tang dynasty. It had assumed its current name of "Yin" in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. The city of Ningbo was administrated by Yin county until after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. At the same time, Yin county became a county of Ningbo city. Ningbo University (NBU; ) is located in Jiangbei District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. It is a provincially governed key university in Zhejiang Province. Cheng Taining (; born 9 December 1935) is a Chinese architect. He is Director of the Design and Theoretical Research Center of Southeast University and Chief Architect of . Biography Cheng was born 9 December 1935 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. He graduated from the School of Architecture of Nanjing Institute of Technology (now part of Southeast University). In 1984 Cheng became director and chief architect of the Hangzhou Architectural Design Institute.
