Nils August Andresen Butenschøn
Nils August Andresen Butenschøn (3 February 1842 – 27 September 1935) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo, Norway) as the only son of banker Nicolay August Andresen (1812–1894) and Nilsine Augusta Butenschøn (1818–1842). He was a grandson of Nicolai Andresen and grandnephew of Johan Henrik Andresen. His forefathers had founded and run a banking company later named Andresens Bank. In 1893, he took his mother's surname, Butenschøn. He joined the company in 1867, as a junior partner of his father and his uncle Engelhart Andresen. They died in 1894 and 1896 respectively, but from 1892 Butenschøn was a partner with his cousins Carl Christian and Engelhart Jr (the latter left in 1902). Butenschøn spent his career as a chief executive in Andresens Bank, and also served as a consul general. Order Of The Crown Of Italy
The Order of the Crown of Italy ( or OCI) was founded as a national order in 1868 by King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, to commemorate Italian unification, the unification of Italy in 1861. It was awarded in five degrees for civilian and military merit. Today the Order of the Crown has been replaced by the Order of Merit of Savoy and is still conferred on new knights by the current head of the house of Emanuele Filiberto, Prince of Venice. The order has been suppressed by law since the birth of the Italian Republic, foundation of the Republic in 1946. However, Umberto II of Italy, Umberto II did not abdicate his position as ''fons honorum'' and it remained under his Grand Mastership as a dynastic order. While the continued use of those decorations conferred prior to 1951 is permitted in Italy, the crowns on the ribbons issued before 1946 must be substituted for as many five pointed stars on military uniforms. Viktor Plahte
Viktor Møinichen Plahte (24 May 1878 – 1965) was a Norwegian businessperson. Early years He was a son of Frithjof M. Plahte (1836–1899) and Marie, née Birch (1852–1937). He was a brother of Herbert and Erik Plahte, and an uncle of Frithjof M. Plahte Jr. and Hans Barthold Andresen Butenschøn Jr. His father had settled at Høvik in Bærum and Viktor lived there. He was, however, born in Surrey and took practical business training in England as well as in Sweden. He also attended Oslo Commerce School. Career He became a partner in the bank N. A. Andresen & Co in 1902, together with his brother Herbert. The other three partners were Nils August Andresen Butenschøn, Carl Christian Andresen, and, from 1910, Hans Barthold Andresen Butenschøn.
