Nikola Žižić (basketball Born 2000)
Nikola Žižić (born 23 January 1988) is a Croatian professional footballer who last played as a defender for Greek club AEL. Career Physically strong and good at initiating attacks and finishing them, Žižić started his career in second- and third-tier clubs in Croatia and Slovenia – Solin, Konavljanin and Bela Krajina before getting his chance to play in Prva HNL for the newly promoted Lučko, signing a one-year deal. Establishing himself in the first team, he secured a transfer to the Turkish Süper Lig team Antalyaspor, signing a three-year deal with them. After a short period in Turkey and Fethiyespor he returned to Slovenia and played for NK Krka before signing with Croatian side Istra where he had his most successful seasons with 63 league games. On 7 July 2017, AEL announced the signing of Žižić on a two-year contract. The Slovenian PrvaLiga (, ), currently named Prva liga Telemach due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. SNL, is the top level of the Slovenian football league system. The TFF 1. Lig (), currently referred to as Trendyol 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The 2013–14 Süper Lig (known as the Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons) was the 56th season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season began on 17 August 2013. Galatasaray were the defending champions, but Fenerbahçe matched their league title record of 19 after drawing 0–0 with Çaykur Rizespor on 27 April. Teams İstanbul BB, Orduspor and Mersin İdman Yurdu were relegated at the end of the 2012–13 season after finishing in the bottom three places of the standings. The 2012–13 Süper Lig (known as the ''Spor Toto Süper Lig'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 55th season of the Süper Lig, the highest football league of Turkey. Galatasaray are the defending champions. The season began on 17 August 2012 and ended on 19 May 2013. On 5 May, Galatasaray won a record 19th Turkish title after beating Sivasspor 4–2. Teams Samsunspor, Manisaspor and Ankaragücü were relegated at the end of the 2011–12 season after finishing in the bottom three places of the standings. Ankaragücü concluded 31 years at top level, Manisaspor returned to second level after 2 years and Samsunspor immediately returned to second one. The league was formed in 1991 and is operated by the Football Association of Slovenia.
