Niepołomice Stadium
Niepołomice (pronounced ) is a town in southern Poland, seat of Gmina Niepołomice in the Wieliczka County in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It is situated on the Vistula River, on the verge of the large virgin Niepołomice Forest. There is a 14th-century Niepołomice Castle, hunting castle in town initially built by Casimir III of Poland, Casimir III, as well as a conservation center for European bison () nearby. Casimir III The Great
Casimir III the Great (; 30 April 1310 – 5 November 1370) reigned as the King of Poland from 1333 to 1370. He also later became King of Ruthenia in 1340, retaining the title throughout the Galicia–Volhynia Wars. He was the last Polish king from the Piast dynasty. Casimir inherited a kingdom weakened by war and under his rule it became relatively prosperous and wealthy. He reformed the Polish army and doubled the size of the kingdom. He reformed the judicial system and introduced several undying codified statutes, gaining the title "the Polish Justinian I, Justinian". MKS Puszcza Niepołomice () is a professional association football, football club located in Niepołomice, Poland. The team competes in the I liga, the second level of the Polish football league system. The team's colors are yellow, white and green. In 2023, the club secured promotion to the Ekstraklasa for the first time in its history, remaining in the top flight until 2025. History Puszcza Niepołomice was originally called Sports Club Niepołomianka. The team was established on the initiative of mayor Andrzej Wimer and Stanisław Ziemba, Władysław Iwański, Stanisław Brudnik and Adolf Engel in 1923. The first president of KS Niepołomianka was Władysław Iwański. The then board also included the treasurer Stanisław Brudnik and the manager of the team - Stanisław Ziemba.
