Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Azerbaijan Cup 2010–11 is the 19th season of the annual cup competition in Azerbaijan. It started on 26 October 2010 with four games of the Premiliary Round and will end in May 2011 with the final held at Tofik Bakhramov Stadium in Baku. FK Baku are the defending champions. The Azerbaijan Cup () is a major association football competition in Azerbaijan. In its original form, it started in 1936, when Azerbaijan was a republic of the Soviet Union and it was not disputed by Azerbaijani teams in the Soviet league pyramid. Compared to major football competitions in many other countries, the tournament in Azerbaijan attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. 2006–07 Liga III
The 2006–07 Liga III season was the 51st season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. It was the first in this format (six series of 18 teams each). The winners of each division got promoted to the 2007–08 Liga II season. There were also two playoff tournaments held at neutral venues involving the second placed teams, one with those from series 1, 2 and 3, the other with those from series 4, 5, and 6. The winners of the playoffs also got promoted to the 2007–08 Liga II season. The bottom three from each division were relegated at the end of the season to the county football leagues (Liga IV). 2012 Supercupa României
The 2012 Supercupa României was the 14th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The game was contested between Liga I title holders, CFR Cluj, and Romanian Cup winners, Dinamo București. For the first time in history, the Supercup was played at Arena Națională, the newly stadium built in Bucharest. Dinamo won the game after penalties. After regular time the game ended 1–1 after goals of Diogo Valente, who opened the score for Cluj, and George Țucudean, who equalised in the second half. CFR had their captain Cadú sent off in the 65th minute. In extra time, Țucudean scored again, but CFR answered only one minute later with a goal by Pantelis Kapetanos. At the penalty shootout, two players from CFR missed, only one player from Dinamo failed to score, thus the white-and-reds won the trophy for the second time in history. The Supercupa României () is a Romanian football (soccer), football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994 Supercupa României, 1994, with the first edition being won by FCSB, Steaua București. In 2010 Supercupa României, 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season.
