Nguyễn Văn Quyết (fencer)
Nguyễn Văn Quyết (born 1 July 1991) is a Vietnamese professional footballer who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for V.League 1 club Hà Nội. Nguyễn Văn Quyết started his career with Thể Công before moving to V.League 1 side Hanoi FC in 2011, where he established himself as one of the best player in the league. He won thirteen trophies at Hanoi, including five V.League 1 titles, three National Cups and five Super Cups. A youth international for Vietnam from under-19 to under-23 level, Văn Quyết made his senior debut in 2011. He has represented his nation at five editions of the ASEAN Championship, as well as the 2018 Asian Games. He retired from international football in 2024. Vietnamese Cup
Vietnamese National Football Cup (), commonly recognized and branded as the National Cup (), is a Vietnamese football competition. It is one of the most important club competitions in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Cup was first held in 1992. Cảng Sài Gòn was the first cup winner. Format Since 2004, entry is open to all teams that competed in the V.League 1 and the V.League 2. The two teams that reach the final were exempt from the preliminary rounds of the next year's competition. The cup winners would qualify to the Qualifying playoff round of AFC Champions League Two. V.League 1 teams are not allowed to use foreign players if they play against a V.League 2 team. The Vietnamese National Cup winner will also qualify for a single match of the Vietnamese Super Cup against the V.League 1 champion. 2012 V-League
The 2012 V-League season was the 29th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 12th as a professional league. The season started on 31 December 2011 and finished on 19 August 2012. On 15 December it was announced that the league would change name and would simply be known as the Premier League. Then, it was changed name to Super League. Teams Đồng Tâm Long An were relegated to the 2012 Vietnamese First Division after finishing the 2011 season in the bottom two after a season of upheaval and numerous coaches hired and fired. It was a far fall from grace for the two-time champions. Hà Nội ACB were also relegated after finishing bottom, but later merged with Hòa Phát Hà Nội to retain their place in the top flight. AFC Cup
The AFC Champions League Two (abbreviated as the ACL Two or ACL2) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation. It is the second-tier competition of Asian club football, ranked below the AFC Champions League Elite and above the AFC Challenge League. The competition was founded in 2004 as the AFC Cup, it was played primarily among clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots to the top-tier AFC Champions League. The competition rebranded to its current name in 2024. In a bid to increase competitivenes, its format was also changed to include clubs from higher ranked AFC member associations. The 2011 V-League was the 28th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 11th as a professional league. Eximbank have taken over as official sponsor of the V-League. Saigon Football Club () was a Vietnamese professional association football club administered by Saigon Football Development Joint Stock Company. Following the relegation from 2022 season and problems related to the club's ownership, it was proposed that team would be dissolved. Football At The 2018 Asian Games
Football at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 14 August to 1 September 2018 in Indonesia. One of the host cities, Palembang, hosted the women's event, while the men's matches are played in Bekasi, Cibinong, Cikarang, and Soreang. The Games' main stadium, the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta did not host the football events. The stadium hosted the ceremonies and the athletics.
