Nested Containers
''Nested'' is the seventh studio album by Bronx-born singer, songwriter, and pianist Laura Nyro. It was released in 1978 on Columbia Records. Following on from her extensive tour to promote 1976's ''Smile'', which resulted in the 1977 live album '' Season of Lights'', Nyro retreated to her new home in Danbury, Connecticut, where she lived after spending her time in the spotlight in New York City. Nyro had a studio built at her home and recorded there the songs that comprised ''Nested''. The songs deal with themes such as motherhood and womanhood, and Nyro is notably more relaxed in her singing on the album. The instrumentation is laid back and smooth, similar to that of ''Smile'', but perhaps less jazz-inspired and more melodic. Nyro was assisted in production by Roscoe Harring, while Dale and Pop Ashby were chief engineers. In algebra, a nested radical is a radical expression (one containing a square root sign, cube root sign, etc.) that contains (nests) another radical expression. Will Lee (born September 8, 1952) is an American bassist known for his work on the ''Late Show with David Letterman'' as part of the CBS Orchestra and The World's Most Dangerous Band during Letterman’s tenure as host of NBC’s ''Late Night''. Lee has recorded and toured with many artists. He appeared on the Mark & Clark Band's hit record '' Worn Down Piano''. Felix Cavaliere
Felix Cavaliere (born November 29, 1942) is an American musician. He is best known for being the co-lead vocalist and keyboard player for The Young Rascals. Although he was a member of Joey Dee and the Starliters, known for their hit " Peppermint Twist", he is best known for his association with the Young Rascals during the 1960s. The other members of the Rascals were Eddie Brigati, Dino Danelli and Gene Cornish. Cavaliere sang vocals on six of their successful singles and played the Hammond B-3 organ.
