Nehomar Cermeño
Nehomar Andrés Cermeño Febres (born June 7, 1979) is a Venezuelan professional boxer who held the World Boxing Association#Super titles, WBA (Regular) super bantamweight title from 2016 to 2017. He also held the WBA interim titles at bantamweight and super bantamweight between 2009 and 2014. As an amateur boxing, amateur, Cermeño represented Venezuela at the 2000 Olympics as a bantamweight, reaching the Round of 16, where he lost to Agasi Agaguloglu. An interim championship is an alternate title that is awarded by the sanctioning bodies of professional boxing, and in other combat sports such as kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts. Occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division is temporarily unable to defend their championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons beyond the competitor's control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders may fight for an interim championship of the same weight division – leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously.
