Nalini Jaywant (18 February 1926 – 22 December 2010) was an Indian actress who appeared in Hindi films in the 1940s and 1950s. Background and personal life Jaywant was born in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1926. She was first cousin of actress Shobhna Samarth, the mother of actresses Nutan and Tanuja. Since 1983, she had been living mostly a reclusive life. Jaywant was married to director Virendra Desai in the 1940s. Later, she married her second husband, actor Prabhu Dayal, with whom she acted in several movies. Raaj Kumar (born Kulbhushan Pandit; 8 October 1926 3 July 1996) was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi films. He appeared in the Oscar-nominated 1957 film '' Mother India'' and starred in over 70 Hindi films in a career that spanned over four decades. Personal life Kulbhushan Pandit was born in Loralai, Baluchistan, British India (now Pakistan) in a Kashmiri Pandit family. In the late 1940s, he moved to Bombay, where he became a sub-inspector under Bombay Police. He married Jennifer Pandit, an Anglo-Indian, whom he met on a flight where she was an air hostess. Prem Adib (10 August 1917 – 25 December 1959) was an Indian actor. He was acclaimed as one of the top Bollywood actors of the 1940s, along with the likes of Pahari Sanyal, Ashok Kumar, P. C. Barua and Master Vinayak. Adib is best remembered for his roles as Lord Rama in '' Bharat Milap'' (1942) and '' Ram Rajya'' (1943). These films had him paired with Shobhana Samarth as Sita, and the duo came to be celebrated as an embodiment of chaste love and "traditional Indian values". Chitragupt Shrivastava (16 November 1917 – 14 January 1991), better known as Chitragupt, was an Indian film music director in Hindi cinema and Bhojpuri cinema. Personal life He was born in Sawreji, a village located in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar (now in Gopalganj district). Bhajan refers to any devotional song with a religious theme or spiritual ideas, specifically among Indian religions, in any language.
