Naßweiler
Naßweiler (Nassweiler) is an Ortsteil of the German municipality of Großrosseln in the Saarland, directly on the German-French border. Geography Naßweiler is located south-east of the Warndt forest. On the France, French side, Merlebach, Rosbruck and Cocheren abut on Naßweiler. History Naßweiler was founded in the year 1608. After 1974 Naßweiler ceased to be a separate municipality, but a part of Großrosseln. There is an existing partnership with Rosbruck since 1992, which is also marked with a monument. Großrosseln
Großrosseln (; , , , in contrast to "Petite-Rosselle, Little Rosselle") is a village and a municipality in the Saarbrücken (district), district of Saarbrücken, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated on the border with France, approximately 12 km west of Saarbrücken. The neighbouring municipality in France is Petite-Rosselle. Warndt
The Warndt () is an extensive forest area of approximately including parts of the German Saarland and the French region Grand Est west of Saarbrücken. The geology of the Warndt is composed of Buntsandstein permeated by veins of iron ore and deposits of Anthracite, hard coal. Today it is a popular recreational area. The area is bounded by the Saar (river), Saar and two of its left tributaries, the Bist (river), Bist in the north and the Rossel (Saar), Rossel in the south. It is transected by the Lauterbach, which flows into the Rossel in Geislautern. The name ''Warndt'' first appears in a deed of donation from 999AD of the Emperor Otto III, Holy Roman Emperor, Otto III.
