Nayana (film)
''Nayana'' is a 2014 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by K. N. Sasidharan. It stars Anupam Kher, Anikha Surendran, Miya George and Prakash Bare. It was released theatrically on 17 October 2014. Synopsis Nayana, a cheerful young girl, forms a heart-warming bond with retired IAS officer Kamal Swaroop after they are both admitted to Ahalya Hospital for treatment. The parents, Jayan and Swetha, had aborted their first child when they discovered it was a girl. Repenting their deeds, they dote on Nayana. Anupam Kher
Anupam Kher (born 7 March 1955) is an Indian actor, director and producer who works primarily in Hindi cinema. In a career spanning over four decades, he has acted in more than 540 films. A veteran of Indian cinema, Kher is recipient of two National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards for his acting performances. Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution to Indian cinema and arts. Anikha Surendran (born 27 November 2004), formerly known as Baby Anikha, is an Indian actress known for her work in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. Starting her career as child artist, she acted in ''Kadha Thudarunnu'' (2010), ''Yennai Arindhaal'' (2015) and '' Viswasam'' (2019). She has received awards for acting. She became a lead actress with the Telugu film '' Butta Bomma'' (2023), an official remake of the Malayalam film '' Kappela'' (2020).
