Thống Nhất Stadium (''lit. Unification Stadium)'' (), formerly Cộng Hoà Stadium (Vietnamese: ''Sân vận động Cộng Hoà'') is a multi-purpose stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is located at 138 Đào Duy Từ Street, Ward 6, District 10. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium for Ho Chi Minh City FC of the V.League 1. The stadium has a capacity of 14,400. History Early years In 1929, Chợ Lớn Municipal Commission decided to build a new stadium in the city. The stadium was named ''Renault Field'' after the city commission's chairman at the time - Philippe Oreste Renault. 2012 V-League
The 2012 V-League season was the 29th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 12th as a professional league. The season started on 31 December 2011 and finished on 19 August 2012. On 15 December it was announced that the league would change name and would simply be known as the Premier League. Then, it was changed name to Super League. Teams Đồng Tâm Long An were relegated to the 2012 Vietnamese First Division after finishing the 2011 season in the bottom two after a season of upheaval and numerous coaches hired and fired. It was a far fall from grace for the two-time champions. Hà Nội ACB were also relegated after finishing bottom, but later merged with Hòa Phát Hà Nội to retain their place in the top flight. Kelantan Football Club () was a Malaysian professional football club based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Founded in 1946, the club had a long-standing rivalry with Terengganu. The AFC Champions League Two (abbreviated as the ACL Two or ACL2) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation. It is the second-tier competition of Asian club football, ranked below the AFC Champions League Elite and above the AFC Challenge League. The 2011 V-League was the 28th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 11th as a professional league. Eximbank have taken over as official sponsor of the V-League. The 2010 V-League season was the 27th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 10th as a professional league. The league and cup winners would enter the 2011 AFC Cup. The bottom side at the end of the season get relegated. The side that finishes 2ND from bottom enters an end of season play-off match against the 2nd Division's 2nd placed side. Teams Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hóa were relegated to the 2010 Vietnam First Division after finishing the 2009 season in the bottom two places. The two relegated teams were replaced by 2009 Vietnam First Division champions XM The Vissai Ninh Bình and runners-up Hòa Phát Hà Nội.
