Seaboard Coast Line Railroad
The Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was a Class I railroad company operating in the Southeastern United States beginning in 1967. Its passenger operations were taken over by Amtrak in 1971. Virginia State Route 189
State Route 189 (SR 189) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known for much of its length as South Quay Road, the state highway runs from U.S. Route 258 (US 258) near Franklin east to US 58 Business in Suffolk. Route description SR 189 begins at an intersection with US 258 (Smiths Ferry Road) in Southampton County south of the city of Franklin. The state highway heads northeast as two-lane undivided South Quay Road, which passes close to a bend in the Blackwater River before curving east to cross the river into the independent city of Suffolk. The state highway curves north and meets the western end of SR 272, onto which the South Quay Road name continues while SR 189 heads north as an unnamed road. SR 189 meets US 58 and US 258 (Franklin Bypass) at a partial cloverleaf interchange. Virginia State Route 337
State Route 337 (SR 337) is a primary state highway in the South Hampton Roads area of the U.S. state of Virginia. It runs east from Suffolk to Portsmouth, where it crosses Jordan Bridge. It continues on the east side of the Southern Branch Elizabeth River in the South Norfolk neighborhood of Chesapeake. There it turns north, through Norfolk, crossing the Berkley Bridge into downtown, and ending at the Naval Station Norfolk at Sewell's Point. Most of its length was formed when other highways were rerouted: U.S. Route 460 from Suffolk to South Norfolk, SR 170 (now SR 168) from South Norfolk to downtown Norfolk, and US 17 from downtown Norfolk to Sewell's Point (the former location of the Newport News Ferry). SR 337 is the only numbered highway to cross all three Branches of the Elizabeth River. George Fox (July 1624 Old Style and New Style dates, O.S. – 13 January 1691 Old Style and New Style dates, O.S.) was an English Dissenters, English Dissenter, who was a founder of the Quakers, Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as the Quakers or Friends. The son of a Leicestershire Weaver (occupation), weaver, he lived in times of social upheaval and war. He rebelled against the religious and political authorities by proposing an unusual, uncompromising approach to the Christian faith. He travelled throughout Britain as a dissenting preacher, performed hundreds of healings, and was often persecuted by the disapproving authorities. In 1669, he married Margaret Fell, widow of a wealthy supporter, Thomas Fell; she was a leading Friend. His ministry expanded and he made tours of North America and the Low Countries.
