Ohio State Route 3
State Route 3 (SR 3) is a major north–south (physically northeast-southwest) highway in Ohio which leads from Cincinnati to Cleveland by way of Columbus. It is the second longest state route in Ohio. For this reason, the road is also known as the 3-C Highway, a designation which antedates the Ohio state highway system. It is the only state route to enter all three of Ohio's largest cities, though it has largely been bypassed by Interstate 71 (I-71). Route The route's southern terminus is in downtown Cincinnati at the U.S. Route 27 (US 27)/US 52/ US 127 concurrency, which is also the western terminus of US 22. Columbus, the capital city of Ohio, was founded on the east bank of the Scioto River in 1812. The city was founded as the state's capital beside the town of Franklinton, since incorporated into Columbus. The city's growth was gradual, as early residents dealt with flooding and cholera epidemics, and the city had few direct connections to other cities. This encouraged creation of a feeder canal, and later, freight and passenger railroads. The city became known for its industry and commercial businesses in the 20th century, though it experienced a lull in development in the late 20th century. Interstate 670 (Ohio)
Interstate 670 (I-670) is an Interstate Highway in the US state of Ohio that passes through Columbus connecting I-70 west of Downtown Columbus with I-270 and U.S. Route 62 (US 62) near the eastern suburb of Gahanna. I-670 provides access to John Glenn Columbus International Airport and intersects State Route 315 (SR 315) and I-71 downtown. The section between SR 315 and I-71 is commonly referred to by locals as the "North Innerbelt"; the rest of the Innerbelt consists of SR 315 (west), I-70 (south), and I-71 (east and south). State Route 315, known locally as the Olentangy Freeway, running almost parallel to Olentangy River Road for most of its length, is a north–south highway in central Ohio, in the Columbus metropolitan area. It may be seen abbreviated as SR 315, OH-315, or simply 315. Its southern terminus is at the south junction of I-70 and I-71 in Columbus, and its northern terminus is at US 23 near Delaware.
