The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa, known as the National Horseracing Authority for short (NHA or NHRA), formerly the Jockey Club of Southern Africa is the Southern African equivalent of the The Jockey Club, American and Jockey Club, British Jockey Clubs, whose main purposes are to prevent malpractice in horse racing and to regulate the thoroughbred horse racing industry in Southern Africa. Greyville Racecourse
Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse is a Thoroughbred horse race track in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The 2,800 metre pear-shaped turf track consists of several gradient features: it is run uphill from the 2,400 metre mark to the 1,800 metre mark, after which it slopes gently downward for approximately the next 800 metres then uphill again into the nearly flat 500 metre homestretch. A 2,000 metre all-weather "Polytrack" was constructed inside the existing turf track in 2014 with the first races held in June that year. The track's infield holds the Royal Durban Golf Club's Championship golf course. Felix Coetzee
Felix Coetzee (born 7 March 1959 in Durban, Natal Province, Union of South Africa) is a South African three-time champion jockey in thoroughbred horse racing. Felix Coetzee is the son of a KwaZulu-Natal trainer and his grandfather was an owner-trainer. As a fifteen-year-old, Felix Coetzee attended the Jockey Academy at Summerveld then served his apprenticeship with his father's racing stable. At age sixteen, he scored his first significant win, riding Kentford to victory in the 1975 Clairwood Winter Handicap. In 1982 he signed on with renowned Cape Town trainer Terence M. Millard with whom he was associated until his retirement in 1991. Career During his career, Felix Coetzee has led all South African jockeys in wins three times and has won numerous important South African races. Jeff Lloyd (born 1 September 1961) is a horse racing jockey currently based in Australia. Lloyd has ridden more than 5500 winners during his international career. He rode briefly in Hong Kong during the 1993/1994 racing season, then again in 2009-2012. In 2011 he won the Hong Kong International Mile.
