Nathan Sprenkel
Nathaniel Sprenkel (born April 18, 1990) is an American soccer player. Career College Sprenkel played his first year in 2008 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, but returned to Indiana to play at DePauw University from 2009–2011. While with the DePauw Tigers, Sprenkel helped the squad capture the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament title. He was also named a NSCAA Second-Team All-American, and the NCAC's Defensive Player of the Year. He graduated from DePauw in 2012 with a major in Psychology and minor in Education. USL PRO Sprenkel signed with USL PRO side Antigua Barracuda FC and made his professional debut in a 1–0 loss against the Orange County Blues Orange County Soccer Club is an American soccer team based in the Orange County, California city of Irvine. Zionsville, Indiana
Zionsville is a suburban town located in the extreme southeast area of Boone County, Indiana, United States, northwest of Indianapolis. The population was 14,160 at the 2010 census, 30,693 at the 2020 census, and grew to 33,891 in the 2022 estimates. Zionsville promotes itself as a tourist attraction, centered on its village-styled downtown area. This area consists primarily of Main Street, paved entirely in brick, which is lined with small retail stores and restaurants. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. The winner of the final claimed the Soccer Bowl trophy. While there was no promotion and relegation with other leagues, former commissioner Bill Peterson repeatedly stated that the league had an interest in introducing promotion and relegation to the pyramid.
