Narciso Clavería Y De Palacios
Narciso Clavería y de Palacios, 3rd Count of Manila (1869–1935) was a Spanish architect, notable as an exponent of the Moorish revival style known as Neo-Mudéjar. He was the grandson of Narciso Clavería y Zaldúa, 1st Count of Manila, Narciso Clavería y Zaldúa, a nineteenth-century Governor General of the Philippines from whom he inherited the title of Count of Manila. Narciso Yepes (14 November 19273 May 1997) was a Spanish classical guitar, guitarist. He is considered one of the finest virtuoso classical guitarists of the twentieth century. Biography Yepes was born into a family of humble origin in Lorca, Spain, Lorca, Region of Murcia. His father gave him his first guitar when he was four years old, and took the boy five miles on a donkey to and from lessons three days a week. Yepes took his first lessons from Jesús Guevara, in Lorca. Later his family moved to Valencia (city in Spain), Valencia when the Spanish Civil War started in 1936. When he was 13, he was accepted to study at the Conservatorio de Valencia with the pianist and composer Vicente Asencio. Here he followed courses in harmony, composition, and performance. ''Amor d'un'ombra e gelosia d'un'aura'' ("The Love of a Shade and the Jealousy of an Aura"), also known as ''Narciso'' ("Narcissus"), is an opera in three acts composed by Domenico Scarlatti to a libretto by Carlo Sigismondo Capece. It premiered in Rome in January 1714 at the private theatre of Maria Casimira of Poland who had commissioned the work.
