Nanqiao, Shanghai
Nanqiao () is a town in Fengxian District, Shanghai. In the courtyard of Cao's family in Nanqiao, there is a plum that was planted in the Tongzhi period. This plum may have been planted by concubine Cao Zongnai. In 1996, the Fengxian South Bridge began to renovate the old town, and this Lamei was included in the scope of relocation. Under the joint appeal of Cao's family, deputies to the National People's Congress, and members of the CPPCC, the government designated a 100-square-meter area around Lamei as a protected area. Town (China)
When referring to Administrative divisions of China#Township level (4th), political divisions of China, town is the standard English translation of the Chinese (traditional: ; zh, p=zhèn , w=chen4). Direct-controlled Municipality
A direct-controlled municipality is the highest level classification for cities used by unitary states, with status equal to that of the provinces in the respective countries. A direct-controlled municipality is similar to, but not the same as, a federal district, a common designation in various countries for a municipality that is not part of any state, and which usually hosts some governmental functions. Usually direct-controlled municipality are under central government control with limited power. In some cases, a similar term in federal states is the federal city. Fengxian District
Fengxian District, is a suburban district in the south of Shanghai with a land area of , a registered population (as of 2020) of 1,140,872, and 1.5 to 2 times more migrants. It is known for its relative rusticity, as well as its beaches and ocean resorts along the Hangzhou Bay. Bihai Jinsha () is a common place for Shanghainese to spend their weekend. Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is a political advisory body in the People's Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s United front (China), united front system.
