Namayan, Mandaluyong
Namayan is a barangay in the city of Mandaluyong, Philippines. It is located in the western part of the city near the border with Santa Ana, Manila and Kasilawan and Carmona, Makati, separated from them by the Pasig River. The barangay covers an area of and is bordered by the barangays of Mabini–J.P. Rizal and Old Zañiga on the north, and Vergara on the east. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 7,670 people. Namayan was the center of a pre-Hispanic kingdom that covered much of the modern city of Manila and surrounding cities in southern and eastern Metro Manila. Mandaluyong
Mandaluyong, officially the City of Mandaluyong ( fil, Lungsod ng Mandaluyong), is a first class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 425,758 people. Located directly east of Manila, Mandaluyong was originally a barrio of Santa Ana de Sapa (now a district of Manila) called San Felipe Neri. It separated and became its own town in 1841, and later acquired the name Mandaluyong in 1931 during the American occupation. Santa Ana, Manila
Santa Ana is a district in the City of Manila, Philippines. It is located on the city's southeast, bordering the cities of Mandaluyong and Makati in the east, the city districts of Paco and Pandacan in the west, and Santa Mesa in the north. It is part of the 6th congressional district of Manila, with thirty-five barangays. Based on the 2020 national census, the Philippine Statistics Authority reports that the district has a population of 203,598. Carmona is one of the 33 barangays of Makati, it is located in the northern part of the city. It is a residential area with a population of 3,109 recorded by the 2015 census. The barangay was named after Comandante Isidro Carmona, a Filipino soldier who fought during the Philippine Revolution against Spaniards.
