Nagam Janardhan Reddy
Nagam Janardhan Reddy (born May 22, 1948) is an Indian politician. Reddy is a five-term member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Nagarkurnool constituency. Political career Nagam Janardhan Reddy started his political career with Telugu Desam Party. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), Member of Legislative Assembly from Nagarkurnool. He was the Minister of Health in the state of Andhra Pradesh (1956–2014), United Andhra Pradesh from the year 1995 to 2004. In the year 2011 he was suspended from the Telugu Desam Party for anti-party activities. He later immediately quit from the assembly in support of creation of a separate Telangana state. Later he floated a new political party 'Telangana Nagara Samithi' merged with Bharatiya Janata Party. Nagarkurnool
Nagarkurnool is a town and is the district headquarters of Nagarkurnool district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located at nearly 120 km from the state capital, Hyderabad. The town has a great history and it was a district headquarter during Nizam's rule. History Nagarkurnool has a history dating back more than 500 years. One version of the story says that Nagarkurnool was named after the Kings Nagana and Kandana, brothers who ruled the present day Nagarkurnool and surrounding area. The village Naganool (which was named after Nagana) still exists, approximately 1 km southeast of Nagarkurnool. Around 110 or 120 years ago, Nagarkurnool was a main junction for transport and district headquarters for most of the south Telangana region. Farmers traveling in this area would buy and apply kandena (grease) for their carts. Andhra Pradesh, retrospectively referred to as United Andhra Pradesh or Undivided Andhra Pradesh, was a state in India formed by States Reorganisation Act, 1956 with Hyderabad as its capital and was reorganised by Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The state was made up of three distinct cultural regions of Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP; ) is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the Federated state, states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by Telugu cinema, Telugu matinée idol N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu people.
