Nacional Records is an independent record label founded in 2005, based in Los Angeles. Nacional is home to Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic, Musica Mexicana, Pop and other diverse sounds from around the world and sometimes down the block. After 20 years of laying the foundation, what was once the alternative in Latin music is now the mainstream. Eric "Bobo" Correa (born August 27, 1968) is an American percussionist and a member of the hip hop bands Beastie Boys, then Cypress Hill and Ritmo Machine as well as the Industrial metal band Sol Invicto. Pablo DÃaz-Reixa (born November 17, 1983), professionally known as el Guincho, is a Spanish musician, singer, and record producer. DÃaz-Reixa rose to prominence with his 2008 album, '' Alegranza''. His musical style relies heavily on the use of sampling and incorporates elements of Afrobeat, dub, tropicália and rock and roll. DÃaz-Reixa has described his style of production as " space-age exotica". He primarily produces music with a Roland SP-404. Aaron Abeyta (born August 8, 1965), better known as El Hefe or simply Hefe, from ''el Jefe'' (Spanish for "the boss"), is an American musician, best known as the lead guitarist and trumpet player for the American punk rock band NOFX. He started playing guitar at the age of 13, but he states that he started taking it seriously at the age of 15, joining his first band. He joined NOFX in 1991 and his first recording with the band was his contribution to their EP ''The Longest Line''. Diego Garcia is an American musician. He was the lead singer of the band Elefant and later became a solo artist. Garcia was born in Detroit, Michigan to Argentine parents, raised in Tampa, Florida, and educated at Brown University. He first broke into the music world as the lead singer of the New York-based band Elefant, a group aligned with the postmodern movement. Choc Quib Town
ChocQuibTown (sometimes written as Choc Quib Town) is a Colombian hip-hop group that fuses various musical genres. Although the band formed in Cali, the members are originally from the Colombian department of Chocó. The group consists of Carlos "Tostao" Valencia (rapping), Gloria "Goyo" MartÃnez (singing and rapping), and Miguel "Slow" MartÃnez (production and rapping). The band's music draws influence from a wide variety of modern genres including hip-hop and more recently electronica, combined with traditional Colombian genres including salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Latin rhythms. Ceci Bastida is a Mexican singer-songwriter. Ceci was born in Tijuana, Baja California, México. and is well known for playing keyboards and vocals in Mexico's punk rock band Tijuana No! at the age of 15.
