NASCAR Xfinity Series At Homestead–Miami
Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series has been held at the Homestead–Miami Speedway since the track's inauguration in 1995. For much of its history, it was the final race of the second-tier series' season. The event is currently named Hard Rock Bet 300 for sponsorship reasons; with exception of one-off emergency races in 2020 and a one-off change in 2021, the race has been held as a 300-mile race. Justin Allgaier is the defending winner. Race history The race at Homestead was added to the then-Busch Series calendar in 1995, and was immediately positioned as the final event of the series' season. Through the 2001 season, the Busch Series was the only one of NASCAR's three major series to end its season at the track. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series began racing at the track in 1996 with an early season date, while the NASCAR Cup Series placed the series on its 1999 schedule and gave it the penultimate race date on its schedule. Iowa Speedway
Iowa Speedway is a oval short track in Newton, Iowa. Since its inaugural season of racing in 2006, the track has hosted a variety of racing events, including events sanctioned by NASCAR and IndyCar. NASCAR has owned the facility since 2013, with Eric Peterson currently serving as the track's president. Iowa Speedway is served by Interstate 80. As of 2023, the track holds 30,000 seats. Along with the main track, the track complex also features seven road course layouts, including a road course layout that combines parts of the main track along with the infield road course to make a " roval". Dale Jarrett
Dale Arnold Jarrett (born November 26, 1956) is an American former race car driver and current racing commentator for NBC. He is best known for winning the Daytona 500 three times (in 1993, 1996, and 2000) and winning the NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship in 1999. He is the son of 2-time Grand National Champion Ned Jarrett, younger brother of Glenn Jarrett, father of former driver Jason Jarrett, and cousin of Todd Jarrett. In 2007, Jarrett joined the ESPN/ ABC broadcasting team as an announcer in select Nationwide Series races. In 2008, after retiring from driving following the 2008 Food City 500, he joined ESPN permanently as the lead racing analyst replacing Rusty Wallace. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Robert Pockrass (born March 1, 1969) is an American motorsports journalist and on-air talent for Fox Sports who covers NASCAR and IndyCar. Early life Pockrass moved to Indianapolis at 10 years old and attended Indiana University Bloomington, initially being a business major before graduating with a degree in journalism. His older brother was a writer for the ''Indianapolis News''. Pockrass is Jewish and grew up as a fan of the New York Mets. Career Pockrass began covering NASCAR in 1991.
