Mühlhausen Im Täle
Mühlhausen im Täle is a municipality of the district of Göppingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History Mühlhausen im Täle was first mentioned in 812. In the 12th century, it became a possession of the County of Helfenstein, who ruled the area until it was mediatized to the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1806. Mühlhausen was first placed under the jurisdiction of Wiesensteig but in 1809 was assigned to . In 1938, the town was assigned to the district of Göppingen. Mühlhausen grew extensively after World War II. Its municipal name was changed from Mühlhausen to Mühlhausen im Täle in 1959. Bundesautobahn 8
is an autobahn in southern Germany that runs 497 km (309 mi) from the Luxembourg A13 motorway at Schengen via Neunkirchen, Pirmasens, Karlsruhe, Pforzheim, Stuttgart, Ulm, Augsburg and Munich to the Austrian West Autobahn near Salzburg. The A8 is a significant east–west transit route. Its construction began in March 1934 during Nazi rule as a ''Reichsautobahn'', the section between Karlsruhe and Salzburg having been completed by the time road works were discontinued in World War II. Although most parts have been modernized and extended since, significant sections remain in their original configuration from the 1930s - 2+2 lanes, no emergency lanes, steep hills and tight curves. Drackenstein
Drackenstein is a municipality in the district of Göppingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. Geography Geographical location Drackenstein is located on the slope between the Gosbach valley and the plateau of the Swabian Jura, about 25 km away from the district town Göppingen. On the plateau of the Swabian Jura, (karst mountains), in earlier times water was a precious commodity. Therefore, there was in Unterdrackenstein a Hydraulic ram, that pumped water to Oberdrackenstein. By connecting to the Lake Constance water supply in the 20th century these problems belong to the past. At the opposite Drackensteiner Hang the Bundesautobahn 8 runs towards Stuttgart. Tälesbahn (Geislingen–Wiesensteig)
Tälesbahn is a standard gauge railway in Baden-Württemberg. History The branch line from Geislingen an der Steige to Wiesensteig was inaugurated on 21 October 1903. In the early years the Tälesbahn served primarily for passenger transport and the transport of goods for the holdings situated in the region. The section from Geislingen to Stauferstollen was electrified since 12 December 1937 due to the heavy ore trains. Decommissioning The section from Deggingen to Wiesensteig was shut down in 1968 for passengers and freight. Until Deggingen passenger traffic was maintained until 1 June 1980, the freight transport to 29 September 1981. To mark the 150th anniversary of the Geislinger Steige in 2000, tours with the local train, run by the railway friends of Ulm-Amstetten, from Geislingen station to Geislingen-Altenstadt were offered. In heraldry, argent () is the tincture of silver, and belongs to the class of light tinctures called "metals". It is very frequently depicted as white and usually considered interchangeable with it.
