Moshidora
, or , is a 2009 Japanese novel by Natsumi Iwasaki. It follows high school girl Minami Kawashima who manages her school's baseball team using Peter Drucker's ''Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices'' to rally her dispirited teammates. A 10-episode anime television series by Production I.G aired between April and May 2011. A live-action movie was released in Japan on June 4, 2011. Plot The story follows Minami Kawashima who, as a favor to her childhood friend, Yuki Miyata, takes over as manager for the Hodokubo High School Baseball team when Yuki is hospitalized with an illness. With no previous experience managing a team, Minami ends up picking up a copy of Peter Drucker's business management book, ''Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices'', and starts to manage the baseball team like one would manage a business, with the goal of reaching the nationals. , or for short, is a 2011 Japanese live-action film directed by Makoto Tanaka which was released in Japanese cinemas on 4 June 2011. It is based on the bestselling book of the same name and followed a preceding anime series also of the same name. Story The movie is about Minami Kawashima (played by Atsuko Maeda), a high school girl who becomes the manager of her school's baseball team in place of her hospitalized friend, Yuki Miyata (Haruna Kawaguchi). is a Japanese actress and singer. She is a former member of the idol girl group AKB48, and was one of the most prominent members in the group at the time, regarded as the group's "absolute ace", "immovable center", and the "Face of AKB." Junichi Fujisaku
is a Japanese screenwriter and novelist that mostly known for his work on the ''Blood'' franchise and '' Ghost in the Shell: Arise'' series, produced by Production I.G. Career Junichi Fujisaku started working at Production I.G in the late 1990s. He acted as a planning assistant when '' Blood: The Last Vampire'' anime film was in development. The film was released in 2000, and that same year, he chief directed, written and edited the video game adaptation of ''The Last Vampire''. Sayaka Nakaya
is a Japanese voice actress and former member of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. She is from Iwate. While with AKB48 she was a member of the subunit No Name. Her biggest role as a voice actress was as the title character Chitose Sakuraba in the anime series '' Chitose Get You!!''. Career Nakaya passed AKB48's generation 3 audition on December 3, 2006.
