Toshima
is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the eight central wards of the Tokyo Metropolitan area. Located in the northern area of Tokyo, Toshima is bordered by the wards of Nerima, Itabashi, and Kita in the north and Nakano, Shinjuku, and Bunkyo in the south. The ward was founded on March 15, 1947, and reached a peak resident population of 370,000 in 1965. The population has continued to decline and as of May 1, 2015, the ward had an estimated population of 298,250, with a population density of 22,920 persons per km2. The Fujisankei Ladies Classic is an annual golf event on the LPGA of Japan Tour. It was first played in 1982. The tournament was held at the Fivehundred Club in Shizuoka from 1982 to 1995 then at the Fujizakura CC from 1996 to 2003. In 2004 the venue was the Fuji Lakeside CC. Sakura Koiwai
(born 15 April 1998) is a Japanese professional golfer. She plays on the LPGA of Japan Tour where she has eight victories. Career Koiwai was born in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido in 1998 and started playing golf when she was 8 years old. She won the Hokkaido Amateur Championship in 2014 and 2016. Koiwai turned professional and joined the LPGA of Japan Tour in 2017.
