Miura, Kanagawa
is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of April 1, 2017, the city had an estimated population of 44,132, with 17,473 households, and a population density of . The total area is . History The area of modern Miura has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Archaeologists have uncovered numerous remains from the Japanese paleolithic, Jōmon and Yayoi periods. From the late Heian period through the end of the Sengoku period, the area was ruled by the Miura clan, until they were annihilated by the rival Hojo clan. The local inlet of Aburatsubo is said to be named for this event. During the Edo period, it was ''tenryō'' territory ruled directly by the Tokugawa shogunate. The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini between 1966 and 1973. The car was the first supercar with a rear mid-engined two-seat layout, although the concept was first seen in a production road car with René Bonnet's Matra Djet, introduced in 1964. Miura Map Fold
The is a method of folding a flat surface such as a sheet of paper into a smaller area. The fold is named for its inventor, Japanese astrophysicist Kōryō Miura. The crease patterns of the Miura fold form a tessellation of the surface by parallelograms. In one direction, the creases lie along straight lines, with each parallelogram forming the mirror reflection of its neighbor across each crease. In the other direction, the creases zigzag, and each parallelogram is the translation of its neighbor across the crease. The characters of the ''Reborn!'' manga and anime series, known in Japan as ''Katekyō Hitman Reborn!'', are created by Akira Amano. Viscount was a lieutenant general in the early Imperial Japanese Army. Biography Miura was born in Hagi in Chōshū Domain (modern Yamaguchi Prefecture), to a ''samurai'' family with the name of Andō, but was adopted by the Miura that was the family name of his father-in-law. After studying at the Meirinkan clan military academy, he entered the '' Kiheitai'' irregular militia of the Chōshū domain and played an active role in the Boshin War to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate.
