Lauricocha Province
Lauricocha Province is one of 11 provinces of the Huánuco Region in Peru. The capital of the province is Jesús. The province is found at high elevations in the Andes. The highest elevation in the province is snow-capped Yerupaja peak with an elevation of and the lowest elevation is approximately along the Marañon River north of the town of Rondos. The population of the province was 19,956 in 2017 and had been declining for many years before that. Lauricocha province is the source of the Marañon. Pacllón District
Pacllón is a district of the province of Bolognesi, in the Ancash Region of Peru. The town is within a day's walk from Chiquián. Many of the arrierros (donkey owners) that work in Waywash live here. Donkeys can be obtained here. The town is also home to stores with a regular selection of meals. The hike from either the lake Hawaqucha or the Jashapampa valley takes all day and offers some of the best views of the Waywash mountain range. There are places to camp on both sides of the town. Bolognesi Province
The Bolognesi Province is one of 20 provinces of the Ancash Region of Peru. Overview The province originally was part of Cajatambo Province (part of Lima Region since 1916) until 1903, when it was split off and named after Col. Francisco Bolognesi, the hero of the Battle of Arica. In 1990, Ocros Province split off from Bolognesi.
