Jason Mittell
Jason Mittell is a professor of American studies and film and media culture at Middlebury College whose research interests include the history of television, media, culture, and new media. He is author of three books, ''Genre and Television'' (2004), ''Television and American Culture'' (2009), and ''Complex TV: The Poetics of Contemporary Television Storytelling'' (NYU Press, 2015), and co-editor of ''How To Watch Television'' (NYU Press, 2013). Career Education Mittell received his Ph.D. in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison's Media & Cultural Studies Program (part of the Department of Communication Arts) in August 2000. In the spring of 1996, Mittell obtained an M.A. in the same concentration and program. Sybilla Mittell Weber
Sybilla Mittell Weber (1892–1957) was an American artist known for her etchings and drypoints of dogs and horses. She was trained by an Austrian animal painter at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and by an American etcher at the Art Students League of New York, Art Students League. With the skills they taught her, she embarked on a long and successful career during which she employed traditional techniques to achieve results that drew consistent critical praise. Admired for her skill in animal portraiture and for her ability to portray animals in action, she was said to use an "economy of line" to achieve a style situated between the extremes of pure realism and pure abstraction. Jackie Mittell
James Lyons Mittell (28 February 1906 – 30 March 1976), known as Jackie Mittell, was a Welsh professional footballer who made 247 appearances in the Football League playing for Rochdale, Wigan Borough, Birmingham, Luton Town, Hartlepools United and Barrow. He played as a goalkeeper. Mittell was born in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, and began his football career in his native country with Merthyr Town and Penrhiwceiber, before crossing the border to England to join Rochdale of the Third Division North in 1926. He played 46 League games for Rochdale before joining Wigan Borough in 1929. Mittell played 40 league games for Wigan Borough before joining Connah's Quay, but was back at Wigan for what turned out to be the club's last season. The season opened with a 4–0 defeat in Chester's first game since their election to the Football League. Lynn Mittell
Owen Money Order of the British Empire, MBE (born Lynn Mittell, 16 May 1947) is a Welsh musician, actor, comedian, and radio presenter. He was born in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. In the 2007 New Year Honours, Money was made an Order of the British Empire, MBE for services to entertainment in Wales. The Bystanders Mittell was bassist of Merthyr Tydfil-based band The Crescendos, who amalgamated with another Merthyr band ''The Rebels'' to form The Bystanders in 1962. Mittell changed his name to Gerry Braden, and became lead singer in a line-up with: * Micky Jones – guitar and vocals * Clive John - guitar, keyboards and vocals * Ray Williams - bass * Jeff Jones - drums The band signed to the record label Pylot records in 1963, with initial release ''"That's The End"'', with ''"This Time"'' as the 'B' side.
