Mistress (1987 Film)
''Mistress'' is a 1987 television film written by Joyce Eliason and starring Victoria Principal as Rae Colton, a beautiful woman in her middle thirties who is having an affair with a rich, married man named Wyn Brooks ( Don Murray). Plot Rae Colton had originally came to Hollywood to be an actress, but her career never took off. She meets and falls in love with Wyn, an older and wealthy married businessman. The relationship with Wyn carries on for nine years, and while he takes care of her financially, she hopes that one day they can marry and possibly have a child. With much time on her hands due to Wyn's support, Rae fills her life with acting lessons and her friendship with Margo, another aspiring actress. Their friend Stephanie did make it as an actress and even has her own television show. Joyce Eliason
Joyce Eliason (May 14, 1934 – January 10, 2022) was an American television writer and producer. She was best known for writing TV miniseries including ''Titanic'' and ''The Last Don'', and for the TV film ''The Jacksons: An American Dream''. Eliason was one of the writers for the hit television series ''Love, American Style'' and wrote her first screenplay ''Tell Me a Riddle'' in 1980. Eliason wrote two books before becoming a screenwriter, ''Fresh Meat/Warm Weather'' in 1974 and ''Laid Out'' in 1976. She died on January 10, 2022, at the age of 87. Alan Leonard Rachins (born October 3, 1942) is an American television actor, known for his role as Douglas Brackman in '' L.A. Law'' which earned him both Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, and his portrayal of Larry (Dharma's hippie father) on the television series ''Dharma & Greg''. Career Rachins graduated from Brookline High School. He enrolled at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, ultimately dropping out, but managed to graduate from Empire State College in 1974. He moved to New York to study acting.
