Miss Ohio USA
The Miss Ohio USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Ohio in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by that winner. It has previously been known as Miss Ohio Universe. It is produced by Proctor Productions. The pageant is currently held in Springfield and has previously been hosted by Mentor, Steubenville and Portsmouth. Two Ohio representatives, Sue Downey in 1965 and Kim Seelbrede in 1981, have won the Miss USA title and competed in the Miss Universe pageant. The most notable Miss Ohio USA is actress and Oscar winner Halle Berry, who was 1st runner up at Miss USA 1986. Other notable former titleholders include actress, model and sportscaster Jayne Kennedy and two former ''Survivor'' contestants, Kim Mullen of '' Survivor: Palau'' and Candace Smith of '' Survivor: Tocantins.'' Miss America
Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 17 and 25. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is now judged on competitors' talent performances and interviews. As of 2018, there is no longer a swimsuit portion to the contest, or consideration of physical appearance. Miss America travels about 20,000 miles a month, changing her location every 24 to 48 hours, touring the nation and promoting her particular platform of interest. The winner is crowned by the previous year's titleholder. The current Miss America is Grace Stanke of Wisconsin, who was crowned Miss America 2023 on December 15, 2022. Miss USA 2021
Miss USA 2021 was the 70th Miss USA pageant, held on November 29, 2021, at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The competition was hosted by Zuri Hall and Patrick Ta, while Nicole Adamo served as a lounge host. Asya Branch of Mississippi crowned her successor Elle Smith of Kentucky at the end of the event. This was Kentucky's first title in 15 years. Smith is the third consecutive African American to win the title, and the fifth one in six years. Smith went on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, placing in the top 10. Miss USA 2023 will be the 72nd Miss USA pageant that will be held on 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. R'Bonney Gabriel of Texas will crown her successor at the end of the event. Audrey Bolte
Audrey Claire Bolte (born April 5, 1989) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Batavia, Ohio. She was crowned Miss Ohio USA 2012 and competed in the Miss USA 2012 pageant where she was named second runner-up. She had never competed in a beauty pageant before becoming Miss Batavia 2012 and then Miss Ohio USA. Early life Bolte was born in 1988 to Bill Bolte and Shelly Bolte. She grew up as an only child in Batavia, Ohio. She graduated from Batavia High School in 2007, and went on to attend St. Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina. Miss Ohio
The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program selects the representative for the U.S. state of Ohio to compete for the title of Miss America. The pageant is held annually, during the "Miss Ohio Festival" week, at the historic 1,600 seat Renaissance Theatre (originally named the Ohio Theatre) in Mansfield. Madison Mari Gesiotto Gilbert (née Gesiotto; born March 20, 1992) is an American attorney, beauty queen, and political candidate. Gesiotto Gilbert won Miss Ohio USA 2014 and represented Ohio at that year's Miss USA. She was previously the author of a weekly column at ''The Washington Times'' titled "Millennial Mindset". Miss USA 2022 was the 71st Miss USA pageant. The competition was held on October 3, 2022 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada and was broadcast on the FYI cable channel. Canal Winchester is a city in Fairfield and Franklin counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The city is one of the suburbs that make up the Columbus metropolitan area. The population was 9,107 at the 2020 census. History Canal Winchester was founded in 1828 by Reuben Dove and John Colman. When construction of the Ohio & Erie Canal came through Dove's wheat field, he wanted to sue the state.
