Milica Pavlović
Milica Pavlović ( sr-Cyrl, Милица Павловић, ; born 11 August 1991) is a Swiss-born Serbian singer. She gained fame in 2011/12 as a contestant on the singing competition show '' Zvezde Granda''. Pavlović has released four studio albums to date - ''Govor tela'' (2014), ''Boginja'' (2016), ''Zauvek'' (2018) and ''Posesivna'' (2022). Early life Milica Pavlović was born on August 11, 1991, in Einsiedeln, Switzerland to parents Mirjana and Dragoslav who divorced soon after. Because her father continued working in Switzerland, she was brought up in the village of Gornji Bunibrod, near Leskovac by her paternal grandparents, Rada and Vladimir Pavlović. In a 2019 interview, Pavlović stated that she has not spoken to her mother in ten years. Pavlović graduated from the "Stanisav Binički" music high school in Leskovac and also attended the singing school of Aleksandra Radović. Einsiedeln () is a municipality and district in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland known for its monastery, the Benedictine Einsiedeln Abbey, established in the 10th century. History Early history There was no permanent settlement in the area prior to the early medieval period, but numerous artefacts left by prehistoric hunters, dated to the Mesolithic to Bronze Age were recovered. After finishing 8th in the televised singing contest '' Zvezde Granda'' in 2012, Pavlović was signed to the Grand record label and released her debut single, titled "Tango", in June. Music of Serbia represents the musical heritage of Serbia, both historical and modern. It has a variety of traditional music styles, which are part of the wider Balkan musical tradition, with its own distinctive sound and characteristics. Music of the Middle Ages Church music was performed throughout medieval Serbia by choirs or individual singers. The songs performed at the time were derived from the ''Octoechos'' (Osmoglasnik), a collection of religious songs dedicated to Jesus. Aleksandar Matić ( sr-cyr, Александар Матић; born 26 April 1978), better known as Saša Matić is a Bosnian Serb pop-folk singer.
